The Campaign Committee is made up of committed Bryant citizens and volunteers (individuals and private business owners). Some have children in Bryant’s Public Schools; some do not. But all recognize the need to keep Bryant’s schools and the education they provide at a very high level because they recognize that the health of our greater community depends on it. 100% of the money to support the Campaign’s efforts has been raised specifically for this purpose, all through private donations, by Campaign committee volunteers. Zero funding comes from the schools as this is not allowed by law.
If the millage passes, $96 Million will be raised. Of this, about $65 Million will be used for specific projects and improvements (details provided on this website’s “About” page). The remaining funds of approximately $31 Million will be used to pay off previous bonds. These are the only two uses for the money.
If the millage passes, Bryant school district property owners (apartment owners as well as single family home owners) will see an increase in their property taxes of about 30 cents per day ($109.50 per year) for a property valued at $150,000 (which is the median value of a home in Bryant).
We believe that this is a small investment to ensure that our students don’t suffer from continued overcrowding, deteriorating facilities, and other issues created by a growing student population.
Please get out and Vote FOR the millage this time. Last time, the millage lost by a total of only eight votes. This time, your vote really counts as we support our students’ learning opportunities.
